Assistant & Automation Log
The HoneyDone Assistant combines signals from your email, calendar, and household activity into actionable proposals and automated actions. The Assistant page gives you visibility into what the assistant has done and lets you undo any action.
What the assistant does
The assistant runs in the background and performs a small set of whitelisted operations:
- Auto-routes captured items from your inbox to the right list or project
- Auto-links related items (e.g., links an email capture to an existing task)
- Auto-expires stale shopping list items that are past their relevance date
- Auto-groups similar errand tasks together
- Generates proposals based on calendar events and household patterns
The assistant never completes tasks — only humans can mark tasks done.
Assistant metrics
The Assistant page shows:
- How many items were processed in the last 7 and 30 days
- A breakdown of actions taken by type (auto-routed, auto-linked, etc.)
- Recent proposals generated and their acceptance rate
Automation Log
The Automation Log (/assistant/automation-log) is a detailed, time-ordered record of every automated action the assistant has taken. For each entry you can see:
- What happened
- Which item was affected
- When it happened
- Whether it's undoable
Undoing an action
Every automated action in the log can be undone. Click Undo next to an entry to restore the previous state. Undoing an action is itself logged, so there's always a complete audit trail.
If you find the assistant making decisions you disagree with, you can:
- Undo the specific action in the Automation Log
- Adjust the relevant automation rule (see Automation Rules)
- Suppress the Pack template that generated the behavior (see Packs)
Calendar and email signals
The assistant reads (but does not write to) your connected calendar and email:
- Calendar: used to time proposals and pre-event preparation suggestions
- Email: a special capture email address lets you forward items to HoneyDone. They land in your Inbox as drafts for you to review.
Connections are managed under Settings → Integrations.
