Proposals & Recommendations

HoneyDone generates proposals when it has a suggested plan or action for your household. Proposals are separate from tasks — they're decisions waiting for you, not work already assigned.

What's a proposal?

A proposal is a structured suggestion. Examples:

• "Based on your calendar, next Saturday looks like a good day to tackle the garage project."
• "Three of your open tasks are errand-type. Batch them into a single Saturday morning run?"
• "Your HVAC filter is 90 days old. Schedule a replacement?"

A proposal contains one or more line items — individual actions within the suggestion. You can accept, reject, or modify each line item independently.

Reviewing a proposal

1. Go to Proposals to see all pending proposals.
2. Click a proposal to open its detail view.
3. For each line item, choose Accept, Reject, or Modify.

Accepting a line item creates the underlying task (or makes the scheduling change). Rejecting it dismisses it without taking action. Modifying it lets you adjust the date, assignee, or details before accepting.

Workflow proposals vs simple proposals

Some proposals involve a multi-step assistant workflow (e.g., pre-event preparation proposals that span several days). These are labeled as workflow proposals and include a sequence of actions with dependencies. Simple proposals are single-item suggestions.

Recommendations

Recommendations are lighter-weight suggestions surfaced in context — on the Task detail page, in the Command Center, or in the Planning view. A recommendation might say "this task has been open for 3 weeks — consider scheduling it or breaking it down."

You can:

• Snooze a recommendation to see it again later
• Dismiss it if it's not relevant

Recommendations are generated by HoneyDone's pattern analysis. They don't create tasks automatically — they surface an observation and let you decide what to do.

Proposals become tasks only when you accept them. HoneyDone never silently adds work to your list.
