Collaboration
HoneyDone supports lightweight collaboration states that go beyond simple task assignment.
Collaboration States
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| None | Default — no special collaboration signal |
| Waiting On | You're waiting on a specific household member to act |
| Needs Shared Decision | The task requires input from both/all members before proceeding |
| Proposed Handoff | You're suggesting another member take over this task |
| Ready for Partner | The task is ready for anyone else to pick up |
How to Set Collaboration State
On the task detail page, click Edit and scroll to the "Context & Collaboration" section:
- Select the Collaboration state.
- If using "Waiting On" or "Proposed Handoff," select the target member from the Collaboration with dropdown.
- Optionally add a Collaboration Note to explain the context.
How Collaboration Affects Recommendations
- Tasks where someone is waiting on you get a score boost (+5), surfacing them higher.
- Tasks with a proposed handoff targeting you also get boosted (+5).
- Tasks marked ready for partner get a mild boost (+3) for all members.
- Tasks where you're waiting on someone else get suppressed (-3) since you can't act on them.
Badges
Collaboration badges appear on the task detail page and in task rows:
- Waiting on — amber badge
- Shared decision — blue badge
- Handoff — orange badge
- Ready for partner — green badge
